Ready everyone?
There were no differences between Age 5 and Age 6 of the arena, but things are finally about to change. I am making some minor tweaks to the game which will force new strategies to be made. My overall goal for this age is to reduce inflation rates, making the game increase at a slower pace. Thus, trained soldiers will actually make less income than untrained soldiers this time around. Additionally, unit upgrades will not be exponential (5, 10, 20, 40, 80, etc...). Rather, unit increases may be on a more linear basis (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, etc...). Support points will also be interpreted differently. Instead of getting units with (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc...) every support point, you will only get a unit on certain support totals for the round (2, 4, 8, 14, 20, 28, etc...). I have not made up my mind on the final totals, but it will be something like that. Tell your friends, and be here at launch! Thanks, everyone!

| Age 6 Termination |

Hi Friends,
Age 6 will be closing sometime Thursday night. The exact time will be updated in the coming days. I apologize to everyone who was unfairly banned during the course of this
game, and next age I will assign better moderators, and more of them. I no longer have Photoshop on my computer, so I will need some assistance in changing the "Age 6" logo to an "Age 7" logo. If anyone can do that for me, please send me the link to the finished image on AIM. Feel free to discuss this in the NFreak.net chatroom linked on the top of every page. Thanks, friends!

Welcome everyone,
After such long anticipation, Age 6 is finally upon us. I will do my best to make sure that this age is much more heavily modded than the last age. I hope to see a lot of familiar veterans playing again, and possibly some people who have played since the very, very beginning. The Arena has been around for almost two years now, and has been constantly growing. I hope the same can be said for Age 6. I would love to see a lot of expansion and new members, as well as all the old ones. Thanks, everyone!

As you all know, every 30 minutes the Arena ranks users. This update, which used to take upwards of three minutes to load, now takes only a few seconds. Special thanks goes to w00t, an IRC admin at ChatSpike.net, for helping me find a way to write to the database faster. |
